Samsung Gamepad Release Date for Galaxy Note 3,2 and S4/3
Do you remember the game controller shown at Samsung Galaxy S4 Launch? Samsung has come up with a name for it, Samsung Gamepad, the cool new accessory that coverts Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablet device into a gaming console when attached to the device.

Samsung Gamepad for Galaxy phones and tablet devices running Android 4.3 and will connect using Bluetooth. It also includes a special connector to hold the device up to 6.3-inches in size.
Mobile game controllers can now be considered as one of the upcoming trends among the smartphone users. We have already seen the advent of the PowerShell game controller from Logitech made for iPhones. Now Samsung has already announced theirs called Android GamePad. It should be noted that these are not the only two smartphone game controller but you should be also aware of the others from NVIDIA and MOGA a well.
Together with the Smartphone GamePad, Samsung has also introduced a matching Mobile Console app designed to make the device work seamlessly with the GamePad. This no doubt is an effort in the right direction on part of Samsung to make their smartphone and tablet device appeal all the more among the gaming community. This can also be considered to be in response to Apple’s move to include support for third party gaming consoles in iOS 7.
While there are regular, directional pad, two analog sticks, four face buttons, and two shoulder triggers. The controllers layout is quite similar to that of PlayStation DualShock 3 controller with the analog sticks parallel to each other.
The controller can host any devices measuring between 4-inches to 6.3-inches. Samsung Game pad specs include Bluetooth 3.0 support. The connection is established via Bluetooth which is a lot hassle free compared to Apple’s strategy that requires the devices to be connected to the gaming consoles physically.
The most convenient features optimized for Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 4.3 such as Galaxy Note 3, S4, Note 2, and S3 enable easy connectivity with GamePad via NFC tag and quicker access to games via the "PLAY" button. Interestingly, you can even use AllShare Screen Mirroring through an HDMI cable to play games on your TV.
The user can download the Mobile Console App from Samsung Apps manually though the same can be accomplished just by hitting the "Play" button itself. In either case, hitting Play will launch the corresponding app that features 35 games including Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Asphalt8: Airborne, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, Virtua Tennis Challenge, and Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame. Samsung is promising more game titles in 2014.
