Windows 8 Phones (WP8) Nokia Release Date and Features

Windows Phone 8 (WP8) already on the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC Windows Phone 8X, now Microsoft is holding big WP8 Launch event in October 2012, four days after the Microsoft Windows 8 Release Date.

With release of any new Smartphone Operating System there is always a perception that it would come with new features as compared to its predecessor so that it is able to command a huge market following. Windows Phone 8 Nokia phones with beautiful minimal and simple design complimented with a premium metallic hair line will essentially make it a must have Smartphone for the festive holidays.

For those who can't wait for the new WP8 Phones to emerge, Nokia, Samsung and HTC are currently selling Windows Phone handsets that are available through AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile for anywhere from free to $200 with a new two-year contract. Especially Nokia Lumia 900 is a great 4G phone available for $99 at AT&T or $50 at Amazon.com.

The year 2012 will essentially go down in history as the year of Smartphones and the hype won’t go down especially with the Windows Phone 8 (WP8) eventually hitting the market late October most notably October 29, 2012.

Microsoft will be holding a press event this month to introduce its new Windows 8 operating system and celebrate its first tablet launch, but that isn’t the only unveiling to come from the company this month. The PC software-maker has just send out invitations for an event specifically focused on the Windows Phone 8 release date.

Windows Phone 8 (WP8) will not be left behind in coming with some unique exquisite features that will make it fight off competition from its predecessor.

Windows Phone 8 Display
Windows Phone 8 smartphones operating system looks impressive and looks to be up to the task in supporting multiple core chipsets with a range of screen resolutions. A 4.8inch HD super AMOLED screen display is thought to be in the offing thus guaranteeing clarity. The new design is mainly designed with the view of meeting user’s needs thus the reason behind it having different screen resolution through different pixel counts.

WP8, which will support multi-core chipsets and a range of removable MicroSD. Windows Phone 8 also includes better support for native near-field communication (NFC) between phones, laptops, tablets, and PCs, meaning we could soon see more usable applications for NFC and a real mobile wallet.

Windows phone 8 will also incorporate the new internet explorer 10 thus guaranteeing faster speeds without hang ups while browsing the net with full capability of blocking malware. It will also provide faster JavaScript performances with full HTML5 support. The internet explorer will also be able to receive WebPages that are fed directly from proxy server this will facilitate efficient server by side compression. This will be highly important in cutting down data usage by up to 30%.

Windows Phone 8 Apps, Drivers and Utilities
It borrows much of its code base from Windows 8. The result is an integrated ecosystem wherein developers can easily create apps and drivers that can be used on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Microsoft also talked about its renewed focus on its business users. The updated OS, which includes Office apps, will support BitLocker encryption, a secure boot mode, and deployment of Line-of-Business apps such as point-of-sale apps, product catalogs, dashboards, in-field or sales apps, workflow management apps, and monitoring and response apps. Admins will like features that let them manage WP8 devices using the same tools they use to manage the desktop, as well as the ability they'll have to set up apps for users without having to go through the Marketplace.
