Metro UI in Windows 8, Office 2013, Microsoft GUI on Stranger Tides
While there can be multiple school of thoughts when it come to software aesthetics or sense accessibility, usability, look and feel in software engineering. But Microsoft had a paradigm shift on its in-house GUI standards with the launch of Windows 8 Metro UI.
Now Microsoft Office 2013 preview release has again creating a huge stir in the blogger community, discussing the adaptation and training cost of (apparently cold and lifeless) Metro makeover rollout on the others Microsoft applications in the future including the upcoming version of Visual Studio, SharePoint and SkyDrive cloud applications.

Office 15 GUI Redesigned into Metro
Microsoft recently announced the Microsoft Office 2013, with a code name of 'Office 15'. Because this is optimized for Windows 8 devices, the interface was redesigned into Metro. This is one, gives a big changes to the Microsoft Office with new features and improved designs optimized for Windows 8 devices. I remember a movie, Pirates of Silicon Valley which is a 1999 film that documents the impact on the development of the personal computer of the rivalry between Microsoft and Apple from early 1970s to 1997, when Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were working closely together. While Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is a fantasy adventure film, fourth in the series.
