Who, What and Where is Arfa Karim Randhawa
Arfa Karim Randhawa (born 1995) is a student from Faisalabad, Pakistan, famous for her world record of becoming World's Youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2004. She was invited by Bill Gates, Chairman Microsoft to meet her and to visit the Microsoft Headquarters in USA as an acknowledgment to her achievement.Karim had also earned her an Flight Certificate by flying a plane in Dubai at the age of just 10. She was also a key-note speaker at the Tech-Ed Developers Conference, where she was the only Pakistani among over 5,000 developers in 2006.
Arfa Karim has received the Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal in the field of Science and Technology, presented by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. She also received the Salaam Pakistan Youth Award again in August 2005 by the President of Pakistan and Presidential Award for Pride of Performance, highest civil award in Pakistan (Arfa is also the youngest recipient of this award ever).
Arfa has been interviewed by almost all of Pakistan's known television channels and newspapers. She is currently 16 years old and is studying at Lahore Grammar School Paragon Campus in her second year of A Levels.
What Happened to Arfa Karim
The Little Genius Lady had an epileptic attack on December 22, 2011 which damaged her heart and her brain. She is in critical condition in a hospital at Lahore, Pakistan. The doctors said:She is on a ventilator and we might have to unplug her machines as there are hardly any chances of saving her, but we cannot take any decision against the family’s will at this moment.
According to news sources, Punjab Government offered economic support for her treatment, but her family thankfully refused to take the money.

Fiza Gilani inquires after Arfa Kareem
ReplyDeleteLahore: APP- Fiza Batool Gilani, daughter of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, on Monday visited Combined Medical Hospital (CMH) to inquire after Arfa Karim, the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in the world.
Speaking on the occasion, Fiza Batool Gilani appealed to the nation to pray for an early recovery of Arfa, adding that she was the pride of Pakistan and shined country image at international level.
Arfa’s father, Amjad Karim, a retired colonel, expressed satisfaction over treatment being provided to her. He said Arfa was handling a NASA project before she fell ill.
Doctors, who are treating Arfa, said the best possible healthcare was being provided to her, adding that she could not be shifted to any other place for treatment as she was on ventilator.

ReplyDeleteGeo News: Chairman of Microsoft, billionaire Bill Gates has made contact with the parents of the world's youngest Microsoft Certified Professional Arfa Karim for her treatment, Geo News reported.
According Arfa's father, Amjab Karim Randhawa, Bill Gates telephoned him and expressed his wish about Arfa's treatment in the US.
Gates has also directed his doctors to adopt every kind of measure for the treatment of the young genius Microsoft professional.
Gates' doctors contacted Arfa's Pakistani doctors and received details about the illness through the internet.

Snow Angels
Snow angels dancing in the breeze,
Brother and sister fall on their knees.
They lay down in the bitter snow,
And figures of angels begin to show.
The pair giggle and smile at each other,
And each prays they will never lose the other.
Snow angels playing on the river,
Then the ice begins to quiver.
He lets out a dreadful scream;
